The story behind the recipe:

My grandma tinkered with a potato salad recipe to enter it into the Bensenville Homemakers Club recipe contest. She won that year! My grandma was a fantastic cook who made most everything from scratch. I remember her making this potato salad for any get together in the the spring and summer.

Ingredients:

  • For the dressing:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • For the salad:
  • 4 cups cubed and cooked red potatoes
  • 4 hard boiled eggs, chop 3 and slice 1 for garnish
  • 1 small onion, finely diced

How to make it:

Mix together the dressing ingredients. Pour over the potatoes, onion, and egg and mix well. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.

It's easier than ever to tell beatiful food stories.
