The story behind the recipe:
Butter tarts are definitely on our baking list every Christmas, a lot of my cousins make the same recipe and butter tarts are a family favourite at Christmas time. I try to make them six times a year as well.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup raisins
How to make it:
Preheat oven to 350℉.
Mix ingredients in the order given. Put in unbaked tart shells and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Recipe makes one dozen large tarts or 18 medium tarts.
It's easier than ever to tell beatiful food stories.
